| This mews house faces inwards around a series of open courtyards, a design solution inspired by the physical restrictions of a severely overlooked site.
This project won the Opus Award 2005 for Buildings under €5m.
'This was a project that had to be visited to be fully appreciated. The house plans appear basic and simple yet in reality are very subtle and site-sensitive. Light and space is brought into the heart of the ground floor through light-wells, glass walls and a common internal/external paving scheme. Restrictive property and established building lines have been explored and intelligently responded to in terms of plan and façade design to give light-filled privacy in a dense, enclosed city centre site. The build quality is of a high standard.'
Jury Citation, OPUS Awards 2005.
