91-93 Merrion Square
Construction work has commenced on the redevelopment of three interconnecting Georgian Buildings on the west side of Merrion Square. These buildings , which are some of the earliest houses to be built on Merrion Square, have been remodeled over the centuries and have lost much of the original layout and historic detail. The original houses were converted to offices in the 20th century and most recently have been used as government offices. The current works will undo some of the historic damage and provide a more sympathetic adaptation of the buildings for continued commercial use.
Dundrum Garda Station Construction
Phase 2 of the development of Dundrum Garda Station has commenced. Following the successful Phase 1 retrofit of the old Courthouse , work has started on the demolition and rebuilding of the remaining elements of the Station. This will include a new public office , general offices and detention areas. The works will be complete in late 2015.
