Nassau St, Dublin
The administrative offices for the Irish Hospice Foundation are housed in the converted attic floor of Morrison Chambers, a Protected Structure. The project involved the complete refurbishment of the roof and attic structure included the copper clad dome, which has been converted into a meeting room whose only natural light comes through the opaque face of the external clock. The built in furniture is integrated seamlessly into attic space and inspired by elements of the original roof structure. The interior space enjoys a warm, natural palette of surface finishes , oak, cork, polished plaster, stone to create a sympathetic atmosphere reflective of the hospice function.
