Paschal has over 30 years’ experience working in Dublin, London, Moscow and Warsaw. He co-founded Mahoney Architecture in 1998 in partnership with his sister, Elaine Mahoney McCabe following their success in winning the Four Corners architectural design competition, for the regeneration of Cathedral Quarter area of central Belfast.
Paschal takes a strategic design lead on every project undertaken by the company. He engages directly with our clients at the beginning of each project to ensure a clear and precise understanding of their needs. He develops the initial concept through hand sketching with the design team and carefully refines the design to respond to the clients brief and site conditions.
Paschal works closely with the team through all stages of project, ensuring that the clarity of the design concept is carried through all design stages and delivered in the completed building.
His projects have been published widely in the architectural press and his first written work ‘Grim Bastilles of Despair – The Poor Law Union Workhouses in Ireland’ was published by Cork University Press/Quinnipiac University in 2016.
